Hi Carolcourt

I would be interested to know how you get on with the other company if you decide to go with them. I have just looked at their website but can't find where they are based - there is only a mobile number and hotmail account as contact??? I am very happy with my intralace system but I am keen to find out more about this other system. I can see about costs on their website but the pictures don't show what the parting or top section is like and in my experience this is area that needs to look the most natural. My current parting is undetectable and really natural looking so if there is a system out there that looks as good as mine but costs £300 then I am keen to know more!!!!!
Please keep me posted = hope I am not too nosy!!

Annie :)

Hi Annie

Yes the price is so much cheaper isn't it. I haven't been able to find out where they are stiuated yet either. Haven't made up my mind yet!!

This is the one part I am worried about if you can see by the parting that it is not natural, but you seem really pleased with yours.

Hope you don't mind me asking but when you are coming up to your 6 weeks maintenance does it become obvious that the intralace has moved away from your head through hair growth?

I will keep you informed of my decision.

Thanks

Hi
In my experience (so far!) my hair does not look like its moved or slipped back at the 6 weeks point but when I brush it i can feel a bit of movement. if i left it for 7 weeks then maybe you would notice it. think thats why they say you should have an appointment every 6 weeks. one lady I met at the studio get her hair done every 8 weeks because her hair grows slowly. you might have to start off and see how you get on but I am going to stick to the 6 weeks just in case!

Hi Annie

Very helpful. The people that do it for £300 are web based, you can contact Dawn on her email address in this forum I'm sure she will not mind and she can pass you on to them if you are interested.

I do agree that it is always better to first look for provinces that are essential and then go for it. you are just take any action with out any concern then it may affect you in bad way so, better to take care of it.

Thanks

Hello everybody - its great to have found this forum. :D

Just as background, I've been to Lucinda Ellery and Mark Glen in London and Hair Transform in Liverpool.

I initially had extensions at LE to bulk out my fine hair. I didn't have a consultation with Lucinda herself as she was otherwise occupied. I saw one of her staff and it was agreed that glued in extensions would be the thing for me. My hair did end up thicker but I had so little hair to cover the bonds it was totally the wrong thing for me and I ended up more self conscious than ever. The glue was really harsh and did my hair more harm than good. I had them removed. Mark Glen was hopeless for the same reasons.

Then I found Hair Transform in Liverpool. :D I have now had a full integration system for more than 2 years and its been the best thing that ever happened to me! Dawn is so sensitive and respectful and the whole set up is so professional. This thing on my head is so completely part of me that I don't ever think of it as anything other than 'my hair'. Its amazing and its changed how I feel about myself totally. Its not cheap but having tried various other options, I feel I've got the best.

Good luck to all you ladies.

Dawn in Liverpool seems to be a very sensitive person who does a real good job. That is very comforting for people who live near Liverpool, but unfortunately that is just too far for me to travel

You seem overjoyed with your integration system, I am still pondering!! just really worried it won't look natural I don't want to look like I have a wig on!!

Happy hair days for you :D

Carol! Honestly, you won't look like you're wearing a wig. If you go to someone who really knows what they're doing then it looks completely natural. I swear I have NEVER had any comments or any indication that anyone thinks my hair is anything other than totally natural. I would stress that you need to go to an expert though cos its such a personal thing to have done that you really want someone to tailor make it for your head and your needs. If you would like to give me your email address, I would be happy to let you have a pic - provided it was kept private of course.

Can't stress enough - BEST thing I ever did!

Hi Carolcourt

Did you come to any decision about getting your hair done? I was wondering how you got on with the place that Dawn recommended. Like I said previously I am so happy with my lucinda ellery system but I was ages making my mind up about which place to go for. Am confident that I finally made the right decision but I remember how confusing it was with all the different companies that are out there. I have no regrets. I am budgeting carefully so that I can continue to have this hair but I am lucky to have a steady income and frankly if I didn't I would just stay in more - no way am I going to not have this hair now. I feel like a new woman and life is much better since having it done. I love going to the studio in London. Was going out on friday night and went in to the studio to get a wash and blow dry as a treat. Felt like the belle of the ball. no longer worried about my hair - now worried about the size of my backside and I am sure that when that is looked after I will move on to worrying about something else!!!!! :D
