Any Advice Please

Morning all,

I am new to this site (first post). I am a 25 yr old male, and very often when google-ing hair loss related queries, this site often comes up with some answers so I thought I would register.

I started thinning on top about 2 years a go, but only I noticed it. I got away by using toppik to cover my thinning area. I tried Minoxidil for about 8 months, last year, and this did help. I Actually regrew some hair and noticed it was thicker in places it was thinning; however, the process of applying this was very inconvenient especially when i was in Afghanistan for 6 months!

I am now back, and out of the Marines for good, but the dry conditions over there along with no minoxidil have really thinned my hair out again although toppik conceals it very very well. I dont want to keep buying this though, so on monday I went to my doctor who privately prescribed me propecia. I had to pay £1.04 per tablet, and am due to take my 5th tablet today. So far, no side effects- was told only 2% of people get them anyway.

I have 2 questions for you, and I hope you can advise me.
I take my tablet every morning at 8am, tonight, I am going on a football team night out with lads I havent seen for months due to being away. Now I havent drunk in 6 months, and feel tonight may get messy! Is it ok to drink, having taken propecia 12hours before?
I have looked on sites, and to be honest, all the UK sites have people saying its fine to drink, and all the USA sites say they cant hack it, but to be honest, I have been out on it with some american troops and they cant drink anyway!
My other question, I know vitamins are good, but what vitamins can i take to support my hair regrowth and circulation? B12, zinc?

It’s fine to drink on finasteride, and as far as vitamins are concerned as long as you’re not deficient in anything which is unlikely, then they really won’t help. Watch out with those pills though mate, I don’t mean to scare monger but if you are one of the unlucky few that get side effects like me, then they can be nasty. I’ve got puffed up nipples that never when down and bad stretch marks on my arms. Good luck though.
