male eyebrow loss

I am suffering severe eyebrow loss, which as a man I'm finding hard to deal with, I have hair on my head, but my eyebrows are almost gone, which looks very odd. In fact I'm not keen to even look in the mirror. They have been going for several years, I haven't seen the doctor because I guess they aren't interested. Anyone have experience of this?
