need advice please

Hi

I have a problem that is causing me a lot of worry and is getting out of hand. It’s all coming from my hair loss.

Been debating getting rid of my remaining hair for a while now but I gotta admit I am kinda scared. I am 29, my hair started falling out a few years back and I just started letting it grow longer to hide it. I have lost so much on top now that it's quite obvious that I am hiding baldness. I have very little from the front all the way to the back.

My main worry is that I have quite a large head and I am slightly pale and also not in great shape so I have a bit of a fat face. These things are making me really paranoid about looking awful with a close cut buzzed or fully shaved head. Any advice is welcome as I know something has to be done but I am really worried. I know people say things like “look at bruce willis” or other people, but they are rich movie stars and we all look different.

I would personally shave to a level which you feel comfortable with, it can be a bit daunting but you will get used to it.

from what I can gather, the only FDA approved medications to stimulate hair growth in men are minoxidil and propecia........and even then, there's limited evidence to show they actuall regrown hair, in reality they tend to stop further hair loss rather than do much good in regrowing lost hair.

If your hair loss is to the extent that it is obvious, just simply keeping what you still have will not be satisfactory. Shaving would bethe best option. I don't know if this makes you feel better, but thank your lucky stars you're a bloke, soceity accepts a shaved look. I've lost 3/4 of my hair as i'm a woman, and unfortunately it just wouldn't be acceptable in general for me to walk around with a shaved head.

other options are of course going down the hair transplant route (extremely costly, and I've yet to see a transplant job which trully restores someones hair to its former glory) and also hair replacement systems.

Take proper diet, using yogart in diet plan is also good. Further, consult to a good hair treatment consultant. He/she will let you know what is best way to get rid of this. Please don't use sub standard or unprescribed medicines, they are harmful.

I felt the best way to deal with it was…

i used to do the whole flick over and hide routine until IT LOOKED DAFT. so we end off for florida on our hols and that when I first decided to shave t all off. grow a stubble. lift some weights, get a few sick tattoos and go for the rough and ready look, at least for while. try an complete change. re-invent yourself
