I find that 1000mg of effervescent Vitamin C taken morning and night is excellent at keeping acne under control.
Funnily enough, the solid tablets you swallow don't seem to do anything, it has to be the soluble tablets.
Spots still develop, but the vitamin C seems to stop them maturing, so they don't often reach a head, and if that doesn't happen they won't leave scars.
You can buy 1000mg Vitamin C effervescent all over the UK and Europe and it is very cheap, but I have never seen it for sale in the United States.
