Well where to start im 20 and have been noticing my hairloss for 3/4 years now. My hairl is receeding from the temples and is seems to be getting worse at quite a fast rate.

I have been roaming around on help website looking to get a hair transplant. After hearing some good feedback with a particular company i contacted them regarding a hair transplant. I was told to wait untill my late 20's as early 20's will be too hard to judge the rate of hairloss. I was also asked if i was taking any treatment to prevent hairloss. This is where i need your help.

I have read up on 2 types of hairl loss treatments you can take finasteride and procipia. I have no idea the side effects on these or whether they will be of any use for receeding hair via the temple.

Can any body shed some light as to what i would need to take for best results and where to obtain the treatments from. Any advice please.

Hello, I am a pharmacist and the best I could recommend to you is to consult first your doctor regarding the use of finasteride or Proscar as widely known of its brand. It is medically used in the treatment of BPH benign prostatic hyperplasia or enlargement of your prostate gland. Major side effects is impotence and decrease of sex drives.

Hello!
Well Finasteride is the same as Propecia (I think you've meant this medication, but not procipia). Propecia is a brand (the medicaton that was potented by a certain manufacturer) and Finasteride is its active ingredient that is usually used in producing medications for hair loss. These are called generics (medications that use the same active ingredient but are produced by different companies).

I take generic version and haven't had any side effects.

Minoxidil also known as Rogaine used for treatment of hair loss which is vasodilator. Before using minoxidil you need to consult with your doctor because some medical condition can interact with this solution.
