No one in my family is bald...no-one mother's side or father's side.
i am a diffuse thinner, and now it's receding fast. when a light shines on my head you can just see my scalp my hair is that thin.
i have been on and off Propecia 1mg since OCTOBER 2007...i didn't ever notice much difference. To be fair I have not taken the pill everyday for that duration.
I just don't know what to do, maybe the propecia is making it worse?

Hi
Giving up is not a good idea coz you don't wanna go bald, do you? but thing is when you use any medicine, use it as directed and also keep intouch with your trichologist or doctor. I have heard about Regaine but not sure if it deals with hereditary hair loss or all sorts?

Hiya,
I have been using propecia, and my hair did appear thicker after using it continually for more then 6 months, but I had to use it every day. Because propecia is a prescription medicine, always check with your doctor who prescribed it to you to discuss if you are having any problems. If you do want to lose more hair, try massaging your scalp regularly. It really helps. stick your fingers through your hair and massage your scalp gently in circular motion so that it loosens up. As a result, the blood flows to the follicles and helps to keep them healthy. But you will have to do it regularly for it to work. Good luck mate.
