My Story and a Hello

This is my first post on any Hair loss forum and thought firstly i should say "Hello" to everyone :D

I have always suffered from itchy scalp and i especially remember getting itchy temples in my mid 20's when ever i was to wear a woolly hat at work, i also get itchy scalp when ever the room temperature changes (gets hot) or if i don't wash my hair for two days. The doctor proscribed me Nizorel years ago and i went from using it every other day to on and off over the past 3 or 5 years. Now i only use it once a week. Anyway..

This last 5 months i have changed my hairstyle from a short spiky front crop to a side parting but averagely long (like Ryan Gosling's hair in Drive) i noticed that when i was parting the front my hair was showing more forehead than i wanted so i changed which side i was parting. After a few months of being happy some days with it and other days not so happy i decided its due to hair loss. My temples have receding evidence but i don't have any bald spots. This last year i have also become separated from a long term relationship, had major changes with my job and had to move back home so I'm starting to wonder if its stress related?

Yesterday i went to the Belgravia Centre and had a free consultation where the lady told me i have male pattern thinning in the middle top part of my head and the receding areas. She recommends i go on the following treatment.

Propecia + Minox 8% + Minox 8% (16%) at a huge price of £1791.20

On my way home i was happy. They had told me that i still have over 75% of my hair left and that my front receding line was not dead and so new hair would grow in time with the treatment. She had told me about side effects but i will say they didn't mention all of what i have seen from staying up half the night on youtube and google  The stories i read are shocking and scary! I also was in a severe car crash in my teens and lost a testicle so i don't want to chance losing my only one left

My question is for anyone with positive results. Should i risk Propecia or try other things first? Will Nizorel cause more damage to my thinning hair or should i just save for a transplant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm going crazy and feel terrible.... Not sure if i should throw this Nizorel out either?

Mate go with the propecia.its MHRA approved and at worst you MAY experience some adverse side effects but none that are going to be detrimental to your health in the long term.i am not a doctor but you gotta go with what has been tested and PROVED to work.imagine the trouble the MHRA would go through if someone tried to sue them for approving a drug that gives SERIOUS side effects?i don't think they would take a big risk like that.iv been using fin for 2 years n it's took a long time to notice good results but its been worth it.d

It's all been worth it*dont waste your money on hopeless stuff u see on the Internet.dont listen to half the lads that write crap on here who keep giving negative reviews about propecia cause they've been too stubborn and impatient to wait for results!if you want to keep your hair mate just take the pill everyday!...just my advice after learning the hard way myself.you don't have to follow what I say but good luck..

Thanks for you're opinion. I will give it some serious thought and make a gp appointment. :D

I have been using regenepure for around 4 maybe 5 weeks now and i'm not sure if i'm imagining it but my hairline (temples) look and feel thicker. :)

:update:

I had a blood test at the hospital and it turns out i have a under active thyroid. I have been prescribed a drug (one a day) and apparently symptoms can be hair loss. Has anyone else experienced this?

Well i think you have one the major issue is the dandruff you have to get rid of it by taking prescribed medicated product or natural substance oil like coconut oil etc that will help you to get rid of dandruff then i hope will also get relives of itching.. if you have loss or baldness issue then you can visit FUE hair transplant in Peshawar for better results..
