Hello everyone. I didnt think minoxydil was doing much for my receding hairline. I had used it for about 5 years however and in about march this year ran out of my supply. In July, I suddenly noticed that something terrible had happened. So much hairloss has occured at the front of my head that i think most of the hair that would have fallen out, in fact did, over the last 4 months. I have heard of this effect and so in July began using it again. Another problem i suspect is that the sudden re use of minoxidil on my frontal hairline has caused some shedding to occur and so suddenly my hair loss is very very noticeable.

My main question then is I want to know if the hair that has fallen out over the recent 3-5 month period (because i stopped using minoxidil ) can come back now I am using minoxidil again.? Can it happen?!!

Yes your hair will start receding again once you stop any hair loss medication.

yes i understand that. But can the hair that has now dropped out over the last 4 months (because I suddenly stopped using Minoxydil) start growing back now I have begun using it again -? Does anyone have any experience of that ? That's my question to everyone.

As long as the hair follicles have not died, then the hair lost over a fourth month period should be able to grow back, but the same as before you will have to just wait and see.
