am i being conned by boots? (pics inc)

after a bit of help from some people who actually know what theyre talking about
noticed a bit of thinning around the vertex of my head (i think thats the right term) about 5mm inwards towards the centre of my head. so went to boots to try out their "hair loss clinic" first one said i was demonstrating first signs of balding.. but wouldnt treat me with propecia UNTIL i actually went partially bald! now as far as i understand in most cases propecia halts hair loss.. so its best to start as early as possible.
so i tried my luck with another boots, this time the phamacist said everything was fine.
so heres some pics on the first one you can see what i mean with the recession going inwards about 5mm and the front of my hairline is becoming a bit less defined,its always looked uneven and a bit scraggy at the front.
not sure if this is a "mature hairline" or if i am well and truly on the way to losing my head
BTW ive had a windows peak all my life, i used to get hassle in junior school as everyone thought i was going bald then
