Doctor Wouldn't give me propecia/proscar. what to do?

Hello all,

newbie here.

I started taking propecia 4 years ago after seeing the early signs of hair loss. I got it no problem on prescription from my local GP clinic. Last year i lost my job and as money got tighter i had to painfully say goodbye to the propecia which was costing me £85 for a two month supply. I also had to move area and therefore change my local GP clinic.

Anyway, finances are a little better now and i have since discovered that proscar is the exact same drug as propecia only a 5mg pill instead of 1mg and that many guys are 1/4 the pill and saving alot of of money.

So i went to my GP and asked to get presciption for proscar (i told him that i had done my research on the drug and i knew what it was originally made for etc) and he refused to presrcibe me proscar - or propecia. He didnt even look at my hairline and just said that i didn't need it. I asked for a second opinion and saw another doctor at the clinic the next day - he said the same thing - without even looking properly.

I explained to them that i knew that i was in the early stages of it, had been taking propecia for 4 years and it had obviously done a good job. i have a brother who is three years younger than me and has much more hair loss. I also told them what i thought they would already know, that propecia/proscar is best at PREVENTING hair loss rather than growing it back. but they wouldn't listen. the second doctor even said that FACT propecia does not work and there is nothing you can do for MPB. At this point i realised these guys didn't know what they are talking about.

So what are my options now? the idea of ordering it online is pretty worrying and the hair clinics seem to sell propecia at much more expensive rates than even when i was getting it on private presciption.

I have seen that the Norton Clinic actually sells proscar but have heard bad things about that clinic concerning their surgeries. do you think their drugs/pills would be ok?

ideally i would like proscar because of the HUGE money savings over propecia.

any help much appreciated.

thank you

I would advise you to have a look at our forum sponsors website, they have considerably lower prices for Propecia that most websites online.

1 months Propecia tablets (28 tablets) £69.50
2 months Propecia tablets (56 tablets) £129.00
3 months Propecia tablets (84 tablets) £171.25

You can revive your variety with extraordinary variety washes yet the coppery impact before long returns. This obviously is alright in the event that you are a light haired.
