Stabalise hair loss?

Postby theglove » Sun Aug 30, 2009 10:46 pm

Hi,

I'm 19 years old and my hair has receeded quite a lot at the temples, although i have not noticed it falling out anywhere else. I am not too bothered if i can not get this hair to grow back but i would at least like to stabalise the hair loss round the temples. Does anyone know how i could go about acheiving this?

Thanks

There are a lot of potential solutions to this problem and I am surprised no one else has replied to you before now. What you have to do though, is be prepared to experiment and find out which hair loss treatment works for you. Also most people find a combination of products work for them.

I use ProFusion shampoo and conditioner which has certainly stabilised my hair loss (but don't expect it to regrow), you can find this on (no links please) Previously I used American Crew shampoo, conditioner and spray which worked well for about a year and then the hair loss started again, I bought this from (no links please) but I am sure you can buy it elsewhere.

There are loads of others you can try such as Profollica, Nisim etc.

Use a hair loss shampoo/conditioner only for a while and see if your hair loss stabilises with just a this. If not think about trying minoxidil or propecia (I'd start with minoxidil) however using a hair loss shampoo at the same time attacks the problem from two sides, so using mixoxidil with say ProFusion or Nisim shampoo might work a lot better than the minoxidil or propecia on its own.

My research has concluded that Nisim Biofactors shampoo is very good for controlling hair lost and has the best reviews I have seen for this, so I would recommend that.

Hi,

I have heard about this shampoo but don't the results, I strongly prefers to have balanced diet which includes protein as a very important supplement, also you can go for some other medications too with a proper consultation of doctor.

Hi Guys

Wake Up!.....there is no such thing as stabalize. You have either stopped it or you haven't. Stabalize is a term
used by manufacturers because they can not get away with saying it 'stops hair growth'.

Shampoo, vitamins and all that crap do not stop (or do we mean stabalize) hair loss. All this "you need to try out what's best for you" is a crock of s***t. Do no waste your money on anything, unless there is published medical data.....Sorry, but it's true!

Shampoos are for external use. They may can soften and make your hair manageable. Hair loss is a internal problem and it needs to be addressed with medicine. Propecia finasteride is the right solution.

I'm 40 and have a hair loss problem since last 5 yrs. I tried many drugs, shampoos, gels and creams and finally I settled for Propecia Finasteride. Propecia is the best medicine for hair loss. It certainly has some side effects. I too had some side effects like decreasing sexual desire in the beginning and as my body got used to it slowly, most of the side effects disappeared. As per my experience Propecia is long term medication and it should be continued at least for six months.

After year and a half, today 80% of my receding hairline disappeared with negligible side effects. As I am buying propecia from emedoutlet, I have recd 15% discount coupon. The discount coupon number is 5234E. If any one of you want to buy propecia and want to take advantage of discount, you can try this coupon code. I believe it should work for you also. These guys are best in quality and fast in delivery. Propecia 1mg costs $ 16/- for ONE MONTHS OF SUPPLY - Just go for it and save 15% on Propecia as well as other medicines too... :D

I think the issue here is that different products work differently for individual people. Some people are unlucky and have really aggressive hair loss and if a product slow the rate of hair loss than that is real progress. If the hair loss is stabilised (with an i in the middle please and I make no apologies for the English spelling), then the person has no further loss of hair but no regrowth either. If you are lucky, then a product be it Finasteride or another, may cause your hair to regrow, but this only happens when the roots are still viable.

If you have had a bald area for many years, it is very unlikely that those hair roots can be coaxed back into producing a hair follicle!

Alexender, I am totally agree with you as, there can be a kind of hair loss which needs more attention that is the use of appropriate drugs are needed. sometime it happens like, in most of the cases hair loss dont get affected by the use of many meds and it happens due to late treatment so, it is very essential to start the treatment very soon.

Thanks
